0929: Hasse Walli was the first musician to introduce modern urban West African music to the Finnish audience. Afro - Line was his musical laboratory, where he could try out the latest new things he had learned in Africa. Surrounded by young open minded Finnish musicians, and with one or two African musicians, he performed regularly in clubs and at festivals. Hasse produced three records with Afro - Line, and a "Best of..." collection can be expected in the future. Left to right: Tom Nekljudow (timbales), Pekka Toivanen (bass), Hassan Bah (vocals and congas), Hasse Walli (lead guitar and timbales), Antero Priha (trumpet). Not visible: Aku Nyyssönen (drums), Antto Varilo (rhythm guitar) and Jukka Tuovinen (alto sax).
